Patrick Duggan’s beautiful necklaces got me fired up over chenille stitch.  There’s a link for a video tutorial on his blog post.  Here are the ones I’ve been making.

I had about two inches of this made when it occurred to me that I should have reversed the colors. But I kept going and it’s very sparkly!

This one is a standard 6-bead with 3 contrasting reds and copper.  It has picot edging around the clasp – I didn’t photograph it very well. It looks lop-sided but that’s just a reflection from the clasp.

Made with 11/0 Delicas (8-bead base), 4 Swarovski crystals and a silver toggle.

The design shows up so much better with Delica’s than it does with rounds.
